As TB-HIV Co infection management is one of the burning issues both for National HIV and National TB Program, considering this, NCASC recently conducted a 5 days’ TB-HIV ToT at DECC, World Trade Centre on 9-13 June 2014. A total of 17 participants from different organizations and health institutions (Most of them medical doctors) participated in the training.
TOT covers the TB-HIV epidemic situation in Nepal, technical aspects of TB-HIV co-infection management, TB-HIV collaborative activities and practical sessions on teaching/learning methodology. Participants have gained knowledge & develop skills, so that then eventually they are supposed to work as trainers for TB-HIV co-infection management training whenever required.
Physicians, specialists and TB-HIV program experts facilitated the TOT. Following completion of the ToT, participants were provided certificates for successful participation of training.
