Regional Data Review and Verification Workshop FY 073/74

National Center for AIDS and STD Control (NCASC) carried out Regional Data Review and Verification Workshop for HIV Program in 5 development regions of Nepal

1. Far Western Development Region on December 09-11 2017 in Dhangadhi, Kailali.
2. Central Development Region on December 24-26 2017 in Teku, Kathmandu.
3. Western Development Region on December 28-30, 2017 in Pokhara, Kaski.
4. Mid Western Development Region on January 18-20, 2018 in Nepalgunj, Banke.
4. Eastern Development Region on February 09-11, 2018 in Biratnagar, Morang.

Medical recorders, Statistical officer and HIV focal person from invited districts participated in the Regional Data Review and Verification Workshop.Representatives of 9 districts from Farwestern Development region, 16 districts from Central Development Region,14 districts from Western Development Region,10 districts from Mid Western Development Region and 10 Districts from Eastern Development Region participated in workshop. Representatives from implementing agencies (Save the Children, FHI360 and AHF) also shared their program achievements and future direction.

Objectives of workshop were to:
1. Share recent updates on National HIV Response and latest epidemiological updates.
2. Highlight about the key HIV-related programmatic approaches and roles at districts.
3. Discuss the status of HIV-related reporting to HMIS by the service sites in the district (FY 2073-74),First quarter of FY 2074-75
4.Verify component-wise HIV data reported by the sites available in the districts/regions.
5. Discuss issues and challenges related to HIV-related recording and reporting by sites.
6. Identify improvement areas and support for strengthening site-specific reporting of HIV data.
